teddy gets raised by dromeda... i mean, hes all she'd have left, theres no way she'd let someone else raise her grandkid. plus it says so on hp wiki XD but i think harry and ginny would have been sort of parental figures to him
Good. It'd be criminal if you didn't read the books. They're the best things to ever happen to the literary universe. I've had a... predicament lately so, d'you mind answering this is oh-so-important question: James or Severus? I don't understand why a lot of people seem to like Snape more!!! Prongs was SO FREAKING BRILLIANT! AND-- I am not going to continue because I could write ten pages worth of words about this puzzling matter. I may or may not have a *slight* obsession with a certain bespectacled Chaser who fathered The Boy Who Lived with a flower, specifically a Lily of some sort, and had a somewhat too serious best mate. (Horrible puns are horrible.)
It's fine. People are entitled to their own opinions. By "it all" did you mean making sure Harry survived? If so: That's the thing. He did so for Lily only. And because Harry looked so much like James and even played Quidditch, he hated his guts and made Harry's life as difficult as he could. *cough* Immature *cough, cough* And James was only mean to Severus because Lily spent a LOT of time with him, which understandably made James upset because Lily pretty much shut him out after he made one joke (a pretty clever one at that). And remember how James spent years (five) learning how to be an Animagus, even though it was incredibly hard and time-consuming, just so Remus wouldn't feel like an outsider and so he would have company during the times he turned all wolf-like? Also, the time when he faced down Voldemort, wandless, just so Lily and Harry could have a chance of leaving? It didn't work for the most part, yes, but it's not exactly James' fault, is it? It's Peter Pettigrew's fault!!!!! (Because he killed James and Lily, though indirectly, I've even got a grudge on the actor that plays him, for some reason. Whenever I see him in a movie, even if it's not HP, I always think, "I hope he dies here too".) Not that I'm trying to change your view or anything, I've nothing against you liking Severus more, I just want you to like James because, let's face it: he's James Potter (Doesn't work quite as well as, "He's Chuck Bass", does it? XD). (Thanks. )

I just don't click with James. Not sure why. And I know hundreds love him. I'm just odd, weird, and really stupid.
But it's great there are James fans out there to make up for my stupidity
Though I think that's some of what made Snape a hero to me... cuz he DID hate James and couldn't *STAND* Harry-- but because he *did* love Lily-- he overcame it to do something for her It just proved love is stronger than hate
And I don't think any of it was James' fault that Voldemort killed them I don't blame him for anything. There's just some characters I don't care for Some of it depends also on the fan-art I've seen. Some people have portrayed James as such an arrogant, spoiled brat that I can't *STAND* him. It's just like Ginny. I love movie/book Ginny-- but there's some people who portray her in scanty clothes and all 'harlot' like as if she's trying to just get Harry's attention-- and Even though Ginny could very well kick people's butts, it doesn't mean she was dressing HORRIBLY for wrong attention. Harry wouldn't be the type of person to go for that. Ginny was sweet, sassy, witty, clever, and kind. Not harsh
I'm sorry I don't like James. It's my fault. I'm stupid, retarded, dyslexic and a ruddy git. I really should just die and leave people in peace, but I'm sorry
The fan art you've seen must've been terrible, then. burdgebug and viria13 portray them as they're described (though you probably already know this).
He was kind of an arrogant, spoiled brat around his first year because he was the only child of two really, really rich old wizards who treasured him and he was pretty freaking good at everything he ever tried. BUT! That faded away as he spent more time in Hogwarts. I mean, Remus and Lily rubbed off on him a great deal.
GINNY! The movie her was too awkward, though. :/ They didn't exactly show her awesome side. OH WAIT! Ginny and James are similar! I mean, James in his seventh year, of course. The time when he was a really cheeky bloke and when his head "deflated". There's hope for you after all. XD
It's fine if I haven't convinced you yet, though. You'll love him eventually... probably. After going through shit loads of burdgebug's and viria13's James and Lily fan art. <3
I expected Harry to raise Teddy until I read in the epilogue something to the effect of "Teddy was over so often that he might as well move in." And that Harry says no because Teddy combined with his little mischief makers would bring down the house. Later, JKR says Andromeda raised him. However I really WANTED Harry to raise Teddy. I know he's young and just gone through a traumitic event etc... but it would be so much fun! And Remus and Tonks WANTED Harry to have Teddy. Eh, well Andy's cool. Love Teddy playing with Harry's glasses and Harry's five o'clock shadow= teh sexy.
I tear up whenever I think about history reapeating itself.. I mean, Teddy's parents dying and him having all these great friends and godfather.. but he still goes through all those things Harry felt. Nothing's ever gonna change the fact that he'll only know about his parents from photos and conversations, and not remember them... just like Harry.
