I have to start off by saying I completely love Isabelle. She's sexy, a kick butt fighter and makes the books interesting. Now this is a critique that is going to be hard to write because its not exactly a photo. This whole picture comes down to your drawing skill and let me just say; its amazing.
In particular, her hair looks exactly how the book describes but you've drawn it in such a way that is so Isabelle-ish.
Her dress is also how I imagined it to be in the book; white and lacey. Its a wonder the whip isn't curled around her arm. Her face is also the exact way I ictured it in my mind. Vague; beautiful; magnificent; defined.
I really like the picture, as I have stated, but you lost an Originality star because of her pose. Yes, I can see it is Isabelle Lightwood but it would be so much more interesting if she was in a pose that would make me recognise her the instant I look at the picture.
I also knocked off half an impact star because she seem so white. That wasn't your fault really but maybe if her skin had a little more colour, it may make it more standoutish.
Overall, you are an amazing artist and when I heard that you had taught yourself I literally fell out of my chair. This picture is no exception; so if this doesn't help then just tell everyone I'm an amateur Good work Brigid!
This is sooo SOOO amazing in like 800 different ways. This captures Isabelle so well that it's incredible. You make me want to draw her xD But thanks for posting! This is really good and definitely going in my favorites.
