Just fantastic! I love pencil sketches especially those on something as simple as notebook paper.
When a drawn body comes to life on the page, the artist has succeeded! YOU have succeed. This picture has amazing life. It is full of energy and makes me happy when I look at it. Her body exudes energy and excitement.
One thing I always admired about Klimt's notebook drawings were his ability to bring hands and feet to life with a mere pencil. You have done the same! Her entire body has life. The eyes and the smile are the finishing touch.
Ok, well this is the first time ive done a critique. i think you did AMAZING! I love the detaul that was obviously put into this. I only have two problems with it. one, its on notebook paper. i dont know why i dont like that, but i dont. the other thing is that theres no color! i really wouldve liked to see some color added to it, but i still think it looks beautiful. very original! i dont think ive ever seen anything like it Really, everything else seems perfect. i love the look that she has on her face, it really fits the description of a siren from greek mythology for me. keep it up! i wish i could draw as well as you do
I know this is old now, but I really love this and I wonder why I've never seen it before! I love the wispyness of it and (I know this will sound weird but) the feet look really great. You are truly a master! I love that face!! Your shading is brilliant!
This is really pretty, and I like it a lot. She has a sort of coy and mischievous look that fits the Sirens of Greek myth. Only thing is around some of the lighter parts, you can see where the pencil made marks instead of it being uniform. Other than that, though, great job!
i love it. i recommend computer paper. its light weight and hard to have pencil smudge. also it does not have those damned lines lol. i used to use notebook paper at first and then i moved to sketch pads but now its computer paper all the way.
the woman is wonderful. the only flaw i see are the bubbles...but no one can draw a perfect bubble.
I was wondering if i could use this for my digital graphics class (put this on adobe illustator/photoshop and make it look cool) since its SOOOO GOOOOD (minus lines, and funny block toes...and slightly large head) that makes it look sketchyish) BUT OTHER THAN THAT ITS REALLY REALLY AMAZING. So can i borrow it? (you'll be put as the original artist)
Ah, notebook paper—the Great Enemy of Artists Worldwide! I am proud to see that you, fellow artist, have overcome this terrible evil and triumphed in your goal! Really, that's great. She looks so realistic; there's not a line out of place. The shading is beautiful—on her dress, of course, but I'm far more impressed with the face. It's just perfect. And now I, OCD me, have noticed something. Her face is so real it could have been taken from a photograph, and applaud you. But then her feet! Her feet! They're wonderful feet, really, but they just don't match the face... do you understand what I mean? They're more cartoonish. Which isn't bad, it just (grr) doesn't match the face! Now my OCD rant is over, and I can get back to compliments. It's wonderful how floaty the dress and hair are. They make it look like she's floating in water. Also, I love the expression on her face—beguiling and mischievous. She really does look like a Siren who'll charm a ship into dangerous water. Applause all around!
