all i ever wanted by burdge all i ever wanted by burdge
there's kind of a story behind this, but
i don't even know how to put it. the sea and the
sky are simply in love. and when there's a storm,
they crash together.

Oh, all I ever wanted was to see you smiling,
All I ever wanted was to make you mine.
I know that I love you, oh baby why don't you see
That all I ever wanted was you and me?

This is beautiful. As usual. I love that you tried something so out of your usual. The emotions that the picture shows are just so amazing. You can really see the "want" in the characters faces. It is very poetic. I love the idea of the sky and the sea coming together. The only thing that I could really say about this is the colouring. I feel like the colours should/could of been more blended. Being able to see each individual stroke really displays a type of movement but it would have been more like the water if it was more "smooth" looking. Also, I feel that there should be a bit more of some contrast or something defining the sky and the sea. You can also see some of the original pencil lines. But point blank, this is amazing and you are amazing. I can just imagine all of the emotions that you must have been experiencing to be able to show so many in this drawing. (wow. trying to write a critiquing critique was harder to do then I thought)

Just letting you know I haven't written any critique before and I might come across as being a bit harsh or something. I don't mean any offense and I love the drawing, just letting you know. Anyways, overall I think this is an amazing drawing! It has a lot of depth and emotion, and is very appealing to the eye. The anatomy is correct as far as I can see, and the idea of the sky and the sea in love is very interesting.

There are, however, a few minor things that could be improved or fixed, as far as I'm concerned. For one, you mentioned that when there was a storm, they crash together. Maybe you could make the thing look a bit more stormy, then? Like dark clouds around the edges and a rough sea of something? Also, while I like the idea of the guy's hand turning lighter as he touches the girl and vice versa, I think it could be a bit more... artfully placed, or something. Like, to me, it seems strange that his hand turns lighter when touching her arm that's turning darker. Maybe he could touch her hair, or her face, or something. Another thing is that while their expression looks loving, the way they're positioned, it kind of looks like he's dragging her down. Maybe they could both have their arms around eachother of something?

Anyways, I really like it and thought it was a gorgeous piece of work. Everything from their expressions to the background is detailed and beautiful. Keep drawing! ^-^

Hi, I love this concept! Do you mind if I borrow the idea to write a short story about it? Credit will go to you of course but I doubt that anything will come of it. If not, don't worry. Thank you for being so awesome and sharing that awesomeness with the rest of us Clap

I would've said the sky is male and the sea female...

what i like is how the two head are positioned: he's at a slightly high angle (looking down on him), while she's at a slightly low angle (looking up at her from under her jawline.)

I just listened to this song and I was typing it in my browser and this came up, and I honestly never understood this until now. Long story short I'm glad I listened to the song for sake of seeing your art again!
I love the concept of the sky and water and how far they are. I love the emotions, the colors, the expressions, really great!
