I agree! I picture Teddy in Hufflepuff, like his mother. and for whatever reason I picture Victoire in Slytherin (NO, she's not evil but I do characterize her as being very resourceful, witty, ambitious and, admittedly, a bit vain). I think this sorting also would be a nice touch to reflect how he, Teddy, came about - a odd Hufflepuff falling for a beautiful, high-class Slytherin (Ted and Andromeda) note of your work: I love it! I am so in love with your work, I just sit here and go through it to pass the time. I LOVE your Ginny, I think my favourite pairing from you is Teddy/Victoire and I am so happy that you post so much of the 3rd generation!
i actually picture them both in hufflepuff. i see vic as a very calm, capable, quite motherly figure, always looking out for people and seeing the best in them. plus i think it strengthens their relationship, to be in the same house. i like the idea of them mirroring tedromeda but i think the relationship is very different... i have a sneaky little ship involving molly II and seamus' son, though, which mirrors tedromeda quite a bit.
ummm well i have written about them, yes... but only as a background thing, observed by others. plus its in an unfinished fic which is more of a series of nextgen one-shots than an actual narrative so its not published yet. im working on it... slowly :L if you're interested, though (and im not trying to plug or anything) i did write a tedromeda fic called 'andromeda black: reluctant blood traitor' which is on ff.net and was quite well-received. or i read a good one called 'when the badger courts the snake' or something like that.
I don't think they're supposed to have been together at school. Teddy graduated from Hogwarts a year (and a couple of months) before the epilogue since he would be nineteen. So James Sirius at least would have known if they'd been together at Hogwarts, unless they'd kept it a very good secret, which isn't what you're suggesting. Yeah, sorry for being nit-picky. Great drawing.
In a documentary, J.K Rowling said Victoire was born on the second anniversary of the Battle of Hagwarts and was so named because is means "victory" in French. The Battle of Hogwarts occured only a few months after Teddy was born.
Therefore in 19 years later Teddy would be about 19(and had graduated two years prior)and Victoire would be seventeen and in her seventh year. So they would only be about two years apart.
In the epilogue,Albus is going into his first year and makes his mother promise that she will write. She says that they wrote to James five times a week the previous year, which insinuates that last year was James first year-which would have been a year after Teddy had graduated.
I already knew that. I don't agree that it's insinuated that James is only one year above Albus, though. Quite the contrary, because then it would have been his second year, and he had still had regular contact with his parents, despite his own saying that most people only get letters from home once a month. But I suppose people understand "last year" as "the only other year James went to Hogwarts", which I suppose makes sense, but I prefer my version.
